Welcome to Grade Eight!
I hope your summer break was refreshing!
Throughout the school year, you can use this blog to check homework, due dates, and more.
If you scroll down, you will find postings that were made last year. If you look at the menu on the right side, you will find a list of upcoming events. Below that, you will find a list of useful links. There are links to other teachers' blogs and to our school website, among others. When you are at home, you can click the link titled, "Access School Files At Home" to find the documents you were working on in school.
Underneath the list of useful links, you can see an icon that will take you to my wiki. On the wiki, I post documents that we use in class. That way, if you forget to take an assignment home, you can find it there and print it out. You can often find rubrics there as well. If you finish your work early in class, or if you complete it at home, you can take a look at the rubric to see how you think you will score before you hand it in.
Look at one of last year's posts. You will notice that some of the writing is in green. The words in green are links. They will take you directly to the wiki for that subject.
Another shortcut on the blog is the imail icon. If you forget the address for the imail site, you can click on this icon. It'll take you there.
There is a lot of information on this blog. If you forget the address for imail, the wiki, or for how to access files at home, you can always access those sites from here. It's probably worth adding to your favourites. If you want to add it to your favourites:
- Click on "Bookmarks" in your menu bar, near the top of your page
- Click "Bookmark This Page" on the Drop-down menu
- You can change the name in the pop-up that opens, or leave it as it is.
- Click the "Done" button
