SOCIAL STUDIES
Dear Parents/ Guardians:
In the grade eight social studies class, we will be examining worldviews throughout the year. As a means of reinforcing the worldviews concept, we will be viewing a movie, The Gods Must Be Crazy, in class. In this video, a bushman in the Kalahari encounters technology and the western culture for the first time. The film presents an interesting perspective on western civilization. This movie is rated PG. I ask that if you do not wish to have your child view this video, you initial this the note sent home today and have it returned to me by September 10th, 2008.
